Whether your dog struggles with distractions, excitement, confidence, or simply listening outside the home, you'll receive practical guidance, personalised coaching, and support that extends beyond a training field.

Yes, these classes can be suitable for reactive or nervous dogs, however this will depend on the individual dog’s current behaviour, threshold levels, and comfort in a group environment. We always prioritise safety, welfare, and emotional regulation. In some cases, a short assessment or preparation support may be recommended before joining group sessions to ensure the experience is positive and productive for both dog and handler.
Dogs can join from 6 months of age and older, depending on their development, maturity, and readiness for a group learning environment. Puppies transitioning into adolescence are often ideal candidates, as this is a key stage for building calm behaviour, focus, and real-world manners.
We use a holistic, balanced training approach that considers the dog’s emotional state, learning style, and real-world environment. Training focuses on clear communication, structure, relationship building, and understanding behaviour from the dog’s perspective. The goal is always to support the dog’s wellbeing while building practical life skills that translate into everyday situations.
No prior training experience is required. A basic understanding of lead handling is helpful, but not essential. If you are completely new to training, we recommend starting with an Everyday Exposure 1:1 session to build foundational handling skills and confidence before joining group classes. This ensures both you and your dog get the most out of the program from the start.
Every dog is different, and we understand that some may feel overwhelmed in a new environment.
Classes are structured with a strong focus on safety, space management, and reading individual dog body language. If your dog is struggling, we may adjust the difficulty, increase distance from triggers, or modify exercises so they can still learn without being pushed past their threshold.
In rare cases where a group setting isn’t the right fit, we will discuss alternative options such as private sessions or a staged reintroduction into group work.
Our goal is never to “push through,” but to set dogs up for success at their individual level.
Item descripto help your dog get the most out of class, please bring:
- A secure flat collar or well-fitted harness
- A standard 1.5–2m lead (no retractable leads)
- High-value treats (something your dog LOVES)
- Poop bags
- Water for your dog
- Any equipment you normally use for training
- Your dog’s usual motivation tools (toy if they are toy-driven)
We recommend arriving a few minutes early so your dog can settle and observe before class begins.ion

For this reason, we do not offer refunds for change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or if you feel the program is not the right fit after commencing.
However, we understand that genuine life circumstances can arise.
Rescheduling or credit options may be considered in cases such as:
- Illness or injury (dog or handler)
- Emergency situations
- Vet-advised withdrawal due to health or behavioural concerns
Where possible, we will offer:
- Transfer into a future class block
- Credit toward another program
- Or a suitable alternative training option
